FotoTagger 2.10 (April 16, 2008 - latest)

FotoTagger 2.10 can display your tags in a form of balloons. Pictures with balloons look even more friendly and intuitive than commented with normal FotoTagger tags. You can create talking pictures and books of comics from your photos now! The Balloon version is good for macro images (Lol cats, imageboards). Both versions allow switching between balloon and classic mode - use View/Show tags and captions as balloons option.

FotoTagger 2.9 (February 27, 2008)

FotoTagger 2.9 has even more powerful search feature letting you find tags which contain the phrase you are looking for. Search is available both in Organize mode and in Edit mode now. Search in Edit mode marks tag(s) containing desired text, helping see all occurrences.

Also, in this version we added Comments editing in Edit mode and a feature to Export regions into HTML as separate images (improvement suggested by our users), which is rather handy if you'd like to show valuable pieces of the picture separately from each other.

FotoTagger 2.8 (December 29, 2007)

FotoTagger 2.8 lets you add comments to images including adding comments to multiple images at once. Simply select desired images in Organize mode and use the Comments panel to view and manipulate the comments for the selected group of pictures.

• Add, edit or delete comments for a group of images at once in Organize mode.

FotoTagger 2.7 (December 3, 2007)

FotoTagger 2.7 makes image management and sharing more convenient by enabling applying sharing and managing operations to sets of arbitrary selected images.

FotoTagger 2.7 lets you perform various operations, such as rotation, export to HTML, publishing to Flickr, or sending by email, on a set of images in the Organize mode. Now you can choose several pictures and apply an action to all selected images at once.

For example, now you can select which images exactly should be included into a Web Image Gallery when using the Export to HTML feature.

• Choose multiple images in the Organize mode.
• Export only selected images to Flickr.
• Create a Web Gallery of annotated images by choosing images to be included in addition to the ability to export a whole folder.
• Send multiple annotated images by email in a few clicks.
• Rotate a group of images at once.
• Copy, move, and delete several images at once.

FotoTagger 2.6 (October 25, 2007)

Important improvement in FotoTagger 2.6 is better search and indexing feature. With new search you can instantly find images across your computer by file name or tags and caption.

List of improvements in FotoTagger v.2.6:

• Improved search, available now in Organize mode
• File properties viewing, inlucding full path, image size, file size, date of creation, date of indexing
• IPTC data viewing

FotoTagger 2.5 (August 3, 2007)

FotoTagger 2.5 provides an ability to explore and organize images on your disks directly from FotoTagger by using the Organize mode. The Organize mode lets you:

• Browse folders and images.
• Perform basic operations on files, including renaming, deleting, and copying files.
• View automatically generated thumbnails.
• Set thumbnail size.
• View Exif data.
• View FotoTagger caption and tags displayed in a separate field.
• Add to the search index.
• Rotate images.
• Publish to blogs and Web, as well as send by email.

FotoTagger 2.4 (May 8, 2007)

FotoTagger 2.4 lets you customize font settings for tags and caption. The new features include:

• Now you can choose a font, style, size, and color for the text you enter in the tags and caption.
• Moreover, FotoTagger enables you to make the tags and caption transparent to improve the view of the annotated images.

FotoTagger 2.3 (March 15, 2007)

FotoTagger 2.3 has following new features and fixes:

• Generating animated GIF file. Now FotoTagger lets you create an animated GIF file that displays the image with and without tags in a loop.



• Publishing annotated images to blogs hosted on Blogger.com both with new and old Blogger accounts.. Now FotoTagger supports uploading annotated images to Blogger if you use a new Google account for signing in. As Google changed the way old Blogger accounts should be supported by third party applications, FotoTagger 2.3 lets you publish images with your old Blogger account too.



• Pasting an image from the Windows clipboard. With FotoTagger 2.3, annotating screen shots becomes easier. Just press Print Screen on a keyboard, click the new Paste Image button on the FotoTagger toolbar and start adding tags.



• Scaling tags when printing an image. FotoTagger 2.3 can enlarge the tags if the image is large so they can be read easier.

FotoTagger 2.2 (December 26, 2006)

FotoTagger 2.2 has the following new features and fixes:

• Exporting a folder to HTML. Now FotoTagger lets you export whole folders to HTML and create a Web gallery of annotated images. To make viewing more convenient, FotoTagger generates a thumbnail for each image and assemble them together on a single page so you can always see contents of the gallery. You can navigate through pages by clicking Next and Previous links or running the automatic slide show.



• Improved toolbar. FotoTagger 2.2 lets you accomplish the most important tasks more conveniently. The new toolbar contains only necessary tools and enables you to hide or show a caption, tags, regions, and matte at once by clicking a single button.



• Automatic new version notification. FotoTagger can notify you about new versions as soon as they become available so you will always have the latest features!

FotoTagger 2.1 (November 14, 2006)

FotoTagger 2.1 has the following new features and fixes:

• Matte. Now tags placed out of image borders can be saved too when using Save Merged, Export to HTML, or Blog Pictures feature. Matte is a blank resizable and movable space around the image that lets you enhance the space within which tags can be placed.
• Zoom in/out. With FotoTagger 2.1 you can easily zoom in and zoom out an image. Zooming is applied to image view only so it does not affect the actual size of the saved or exported image.
• Preserving tags after editing in external image editor. Launching an external image editing software to edit the image and preserve FotoTagger annotations. Saving an annotated image in an image editing program that does not support FotoML, the format used by FotoTagger for storing annotations, can cause removing annotations from the JPEG file. To let you preserve your work, FotoTagger provides a special mechanism that temporarily saves annotations in an external file when you launch an image editor and puts annotations back when you finished editing.
• Fixed: Added Firefox support in Export to HTML.
• Fixed: Printing callouts (arrows). They were not preserved in pervious verson.
• Fixed: Space between toolbar buttons is stretched sometimes.
• Fixed: Import from Flicrk does not limit number of downloaded images. It was limited to 100 images earlier.
• Fixed: Publication to Blogger based on recent changes in Blogger API.
• Fixed: LJ and Blogger Publication: Single and double quotes are changed to \' and \" (severity: normal).

FotoTagger 2.0 (August 24, 2006)

FotoTagger 2.0 has the following new features:

• Upload annotated pictures to Flickr directly from FotoTagger. FotoTagger annotation tags are converted into Flickr notes. Upload both single images and multiple pictures from a selected folder.
• Download pictures from Flickr to your PC. Flickr notes are converted into FotoTagger annotation tags. You can download single images or whole sets from Flickr.

Known issues:

• Printing does not preserve callouts (arrows).
• Flickr upload: If you cancel export to Flickr in the middle, you should better restart program before attempting export again. If you don't, program can hang. (severity: major).
